The word “cis” is male-centric. / “Cis” is anti-feminist.

But your fine enforcing gender roles on anyone you don’t consider female.

Cis is just a word, that’s all. Would you rather the words “non-trans” instead, because that’s all it means.

You’re stupidity on this is breathtaking.

The Prime Directive

Stop using the word “cis.” It’s a slur against women. But, Secretly Radical says, it’s not just a slur but also a representation of male domination against women.

Let’s take a simple statement:

Cis women are privileged over trans women [and should therefore elevate and center trans women in feminism.]

Now let’s break it down.

Cis women are privileged over trans women = female women are privileged over male women.

Cross out the common denominator “women,” and you get to the heart of the matter: females are privileged over males [and should therefore elevate and center males in feminism.] MRA much?

Even using the most clear-cut, limited definition of “trans,” “cis” as not-trans, when applied to women, still centers and elevates males over females.

In a similar vein, Week Woman discusses how she was confronted with the term “cis” and how it doesn’t fit her lived experience as a…

Why don’t you just not reblog entries you don’t agree with? I don’t understand this game you’re playing.

I’d comment on the blog they’re on if allowed.

That still doesn’t seem like a good reason to reblog someone’s entries. You’re just giving me hits! Surely you haven’t thought this one through.

Either way, if I banned you, it must have been for a good reason.

I think we got into an argument that spiralled out of control at the time, but I can’t honestly remember.

Well you’re lying about me, saying that I enforce gender roles. Do you think you can just babble nonsensical slander against me just because you’re sniping at me from a distance? Did you think I wouldn’t read it? You should be ashamed of yourself.

It was phrased as a question. You don’t want gender roles forces on women, fair enough, that’s right, but you’re ok with them being forced on non-women in your eyes ie transwomen are men in your eyes and should act accordingly.

When have I ever said gender roles should be enforced on anyone, including transwomen? I am against gender roles. I don’t want anyone to be forced to take on any role.

Transwomen are males. This is a fact of biology. Transwomen are socialized as men. This is a fact of society. These two statements are not debatable. But they do not *impose* a gender role on anyone. Society does that.

    • #8 by oopster74 on April 8, 2015 - 11:37 am

Transwomen are female who were born defect of having a body that is physically male (and vice versa for transmen). You’re comments regarding socialisation are broad sweeping statements and utter shite.

No. You do not have the right to your own science or society. Transwomen are male. Transwomen were socialized as men. If you want to deny facts, then I have no more time to waste with you.

No wonder I banned you. You are beyond rationality. Go pray to your gender altar, you lunatic.

My science, you science, loreal science, I don’t care. YOU do not tell me or anyone else what I am, what I can be, what I can do, just as I don’t have the right to do the same to you or anyone else. I don’t know why I’m trans, I can only theorise, and I spent far too many years being alone, miserable and suicidal. I’m living my life how I think best for me, just as I would hope everyone else on the planet does. Don’t like the word “cis”, fine, don’t use it, there’s plenty of other words available I’m sure you’ll be happy with.
