Suzanne Moore made a mistake in her choice of words, that a simple apology could have fixed ie “Sorry if I offended or upset someone, that wasn’t my intention”. Julie Burchill poured fuel onto the flames, and if her article had been about race or religion, she’d be charged with inciting racial or religious hatred.
